Judy Carrino 2023-2026 | President
Judy was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She ended up in West Chester, PA to finish her last two years of her undergraduate degree. Her parents owned a NY deli and she is one of six kids. Home made, Italian food has always been a big part of her life.
Judy is obsessed with pickleball. When she is not volunteering, she is probably at one of the local parks playing pickleball. Judy also enjoys biking, cooking and gardening. She is an influencer around town and is known as "judy foodie".
Judy is excited to be on the West Chester Cooperative board because she believes in the value of community and the loves the idea of supporting local healthy food producers.

Mike Lyle 2023-2026 | Vice President
Mike Lyle has been a resident of West Chester borough and co-op member since 2021. He works at the University City Science Center in Philadelphia as part of the Advancement team. Previously, Mike has lived in upstate New York, Durham, NC, and was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. Mike holds a Master of Music in Conducting Performance degree from the University of Texas-El Paso and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Grove City College. He has also completed a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University. In his free time, you can find Mike cooking up new recipes, playing board games, enjoying a good hike with his partner Megan, or cuddling their cats, Mango and Lola.
Nelly Freed 2024-2027 | Treasurer
Nelly has a degree in chemistry from Drexel University with post-grad studies at Heidelberg University, Germany. Her professional career was mostly in the healthcare industry including Director of Health Services for the Red Cross, clinical diagnostics sales and over 25 years in oncology clinical research. She has been involved in community volunteer work since moving to West Chester in 1978. Food, wine and travel are her passions! She has contributed to 5 cookbooks and has participated in the same gourmet dinner group for over 35 years. With regards to the West Chester Co-op, she has helped organize an annual meeting and organized and ran the 2018 Bake Off at Holy Trinity. She has worked the table at the Growers Market, and over the past 2 years, she's volunteered at the Co-op store. She currently serves as treasurer, finance and fundraising committee Chairperson.

Mike Kievit 2024-2027 | Secretary
Mike Kievit has been a West Chester resident for the past 9 years and member owner since 2021. He is a supply chain professional with 13 years of experience, with the last 10 spent in the pharmaceutical industry. Mike is currently a Supply Chain Manager for Johnson and Johnson. Mike serves as Secretary for the Coop board and is a member of the MORE, Grants & Legislature, and Governance committees. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife Kendra, and playing with their dog, Seabass.
Sherri Jarvis 2025-2028 | Director-at-Large
After retiring from teaching high school sciences with a non-profit homeschool cooperative for 16 years, She now teaches an Entrepreneurial course for middle school students with Educational Equity Alliance, a non-profit organization in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Sherri believes strongly in promoting educational equality and helping the marginalized people in our community.
Sherri energetically serves on the Member Owner Recruitment Event Committee and leads our Saturday presence at the Market in Patton Alley.
Tim Drake 2026-2028 | Director-at-Large
Tim works as an independent financial planner to help people build and aligh their finances with what they value for a fulfilled life. Prior to that, he worked at Vanguard for 20+ years as a marketing strategist and project leader in their financial advisor division. A long-term resident of Chester County, Tim now lives in West Chester Borough and enjoys staying active outdoors, playing volleyball, cooking great food from the WC Co-op, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family.

Director-at-Large
Trish Goddard grew up in Wayne, PA and has lived in the West Chester area for more than 35 years. Raised in a family of five girls, she quickly learned the value of compromise and collaboration. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, beginning her career in inventory analysis before transitioning into IT and computer programming, where she worked for nearly 20 years. As her husband’s travel schedule and life with two young sons shifted her priorities, Trish stepped away from full-time office work and became a part-time swim instructor while raising her family. Now retired, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, traveling, music, arts and crafts, and staying active at the gym. A self-proclaimed foodie, Trish loves exploring new restaurants, cooking, and shopping at local farm markets to support the community and enjoy fresh ingredients. As a board member, she is excited to help establish a co-op food market in West Chester that provides consistent access to fresh, local foods for everyone.
Chris Goddard 2024 -2027 | Director-At-Large
Chris has lived in the West Chester area for over 38 years after being born and raised in Erie, PA, and has watched the community grow into a wonderful place to live, raise a family, and enjoy retirement. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State and has built a diverse career spanning fire protection engineering, risk management, engineering project management, and safety, health, and environmental management. Throughout the years, he has been actively involved in both professional and community organizations, including coaching youth sports and supporting school activities. Recently elected to the Board, Chris is excited to help establish a co-op store and contribute to the continued growth of the organization. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling, and exploring new foods and restaurants, and he is a strong advocate for access to fresh, locally sourced food.

George grew up in Coatesville, PA, and has lived in West Chester for 3 years. He attended both Bloomsburg University and West Chester University graduating in 2023, with a degree in linguistics. George has worked in several different fields including hospitality, retail/management, agriculture and entertainment. He loves to spend time practicing photography outdoors, trying new creative ventures, as well as spending time with his partner Kyra and their cat, Sage. George strongly believes that fresh food should be easily accessible, and he is excited to participate in making the vision of the cooperative a reality.
