Exciting news, West Chester!

We’re thrilled to welcome Issa Ostrander as the new General Manager of the West Chester Co-op—and fun fact, he first joined us as member-owner #720!

Issa has spent most of his life working in food and customer-facing businesses, building a career rooted in hospitality, leadership, and connection. He co-founded a dessert company, Mompops, with his mom and ran it for 13 years, an experience that shaped his love for food, entrepreneurship, and community.

Issa’s superpower is customer service. He brings it into everything he does, creating welcoming spaces, strong teams, and meaningful community connections. When he’s not at the co-op, you’ll likely find him cycling the trails of Chester County, spending time with friends and family, or bowling.

Issa is excited to serve as General Manager of the food co-op because he believes deeply in the power of community ownership and access to good, affordable food. He is passionate about building a store that reflects co-op values, supports local producers, and creates a place where everyone feels they belong.
